Corsair M65 RGB Elite Gaming Mouse Review

Software and Performance

CORSAIR iCUE software connects all your CORSAIR iCUE compatible products together in a single interface, giving you complete control over your entire setup. Synchronized lighting across all your iCUE compatible devices brings your system to life, while powerful macro control accelerates your game. Combined with dynamic fan control and precise system, temperature and voltage monitoring, iCUE offers intelligent control with unlimited possibilities.

M65 RGB ELITE uses a custom PMW3391 optical sensor developed in conjunction with PixArt that brings high performance and ultra-accuracy, with user-adjustable DPI resolution from 100 DPI up to native 18,000 DPI in 1 DPI steps. This is the first time ever that such an advanced optical sensor is being used in a gaming mouse. It delivers instantaneous response across the entire resolution range, enabling advanced tracking accuracy, consistent responsiveness at any speed and high-speed motion detection. High-sensitivity allows for small movements of the mouse to correspond to larger movements on screen (for speed), whereas a low sensitivity allows for larger movements (for pixel-perfect precision). The resolution can be adjusted on-the-fly between five DPI stages, which are preconfigured to 800, 1500, 3000, 6000 and 9000 DPI for user convenience. These values can be fully customized via iCUE.

The M65 RGB ELITE’s optical sensor can track and report the position of the cursor at speeds of up to 400 inches per second, with a mouse acceleration of up to 50G. While these may seem likely arbitrary numbers, they have important benefits for gamers. Many games and styles of play–especially low sensitivity gaming, such as sniping–involve rapidly moving the mouse from one side of the mouse pad to the other. For these movements to be tracked accurately–and your actions be accurately replayed on screen-the mouse sensor must be able report data precisely at high speeds. And, since the mouse can go from stationary to being whipped across to the other side of the mouse pad in a near instant, being able to cope with rapid acceleration is also a must.

Advanced Tunable Weight System Strike the right balance for successful gaming. Being able to adjust the center of gravity of a mouse is another important step to fine-tuning your gaming performance to gain an edge over the competition. The center-of-gravity of the M65 RGB ELITE can be adjusted by configuring three sets of weights, stored in the base of the mouse.

Lets move on to the last page and take a look at the Conclusion.
