The Software
Every single keys on the Viper V760 can be assigned to one of 16.8 million unique colors. You can also program your macros and profiles to any key on the keyboard using the free downloadable software from Patriot’s website.
The software comes with preset color profiles for your keyboard, such as breathing, reactive, wave, ripple and many more. You can also adjust the response time as well as the refresh rate of the keyboard.
Gaming
During the gaming, the keys were fast and responsive. This is all thanks to the Kalih Brown keyswitches which offer a soft, tactile feel and lower actuation. And if that’s not enough, you can use the software to adjust the response time as well as the refresh rate of the keyboard, as I’ve mentioned above.
Although the Viper V760 does not have contoured gaming keys like some of the gaming keyboards we’ve seen, you can actually program individual keys to the colors you want.
One thing I do like about the Viper V760 is the magnetic palm rest. It really comes in handy when you’re packing your accessories at a LAN party. It can be detached with ease for quick and hassle-free storage.
