The Box and Packaging

Inside the box, you’ll find the instructional manual, software setup guide, postcard, drivers disc, 4 packs of SATA data cables, I/O shield, 3 x M.2 screws for you SSDs.

 

The BIOSTAR Racing X570GT8 Motherboard

The motherboard has a mat black design and finish. There are two heatsinks that cool the mofets/vrms but no heatpipes here. There’s also an additional heatsink with a rather “open” active cooling fan to cool the chipset.

You’ll also notice the 3 M.2 heat shields covering the M.2 slots. 

 

A Closer Look

There are some nice features including 6 x SATA ports, 3 x PCIE 4.0 x16 slots (2 with Iron slot protection), 3 x PCIE 4.0 x1 slots, 3 x M.2 slots for SSDs (with heat shields), as well as pin headers for 5v and 12v RGB LEDs. Under the I/O hood, you’ll find a DVI-out, DisplayPort, HDMI, PS/2 keyboard and mouse port, 4 x USB 3.1, 2 x USB 3.2 (both Type-A and Type-C). There’s also the Intel gigabit ethernet LAN, and the usual array of connectors for 7.1 HD audio.
