BIOS/UEFI, Software and Overclocking

The CVN B460M has no options to overclock the CPU or RAM. We can set memory clock up to DDR4-3200 so slightly above the default DDR4-2933 for the Comet Lake-S processors, but that’s all. Since there are no options to adjust the frequency and additional voltages, then the BIOS/UEFI is limited to barely a couple of tabs with standard settings like a date, boot options, storage management, and security. We can feel like we had a laptop, but it’s still enough for a modern PC.

We can’t overclock, but we can manage everything else. COLORFUL is adding quite functional software that can be used for RGB management called iGAME DYNAMIC LIGHT. As you can see on the screenshot below, we can adjust lighting using RGB/ARGB headers and a light bar built-in the motherboard. The software is also showing us the motherboard picture with a lighting preview.

Below you can see some effects in a rainbow mode, which are working perfectly fine with used Enermax AQUAFUSION AIO cooler.

On the photos, you can also see four red diagnostic LEDs. I haven’t found an option to turn them off after a successful boot, but somehow they are not looking bad and are not too bright, even though on the photos, it seems otherwise.

Now it’s time on some tests, so we are moving to the next page.
