Cooler Master XG850 Plus Platinum Power Supply Review

We have the Cooler Master XG850 Plus Platinum Power Supply to check out today! This can be considered, not your typical power supply. I mean yes, it does the same thing as every other power supply in the terms of providing clean reliable juice for your system components. But it also sports a few features that very few power supplies have. We will get to those features later in this review. Pretty cool features to have on a power supply by the way! And no, it’s not just RGB!

This power supply has been in the making since probably 2018 when Cooler Master mentioned developing their own inhouse power supply. Now we finally see this come forth with the XG lineup of power supplies. This is exciting for Cooler Master and if this series proves to be reliable all that hard work and time will have paid off! For this being the first of many, we already have an awesome starting point because this power supply appeals to those that need raw power and want something flashy with useful features to power their rig. Let’s get to through a few of the features and all the details of this power supply on the next few pages and meet back up in the testing and conclusion portion of the review.

The XG Plus Platinum is Cooler Masters first in-house designed platform, created to provide rated efficiency and high-end performance. It offers full-modular cabling with in-line capacitors, an ARGB 135mm silent fan, and a 10 year warranty. The built-in Information Display Panel compatible with MasterPlus+ software, can monitor real time performance and manage ARGB effects hassle-free.
