Kingston HyperX Cloud Headset Review

Conclusion

It is the second HyperX gaming headset that I am reviewing. While testing the HyperX Cloud I could see almost only improvements comparing to earlier products. The only thing that I liked in the HyperX Siberia headset was a mic that you could hide instead of detach like in the Cloud. It is hard to say if this is a disadvantage; maybe it is only easier to lose the mic.

The design of HyperX Cloud is simple but that is a big advantage as most gaming products are flashy, painted in various colors. For sure the Cloud is solid. The aluminum build will for sure let it survive many LAN parties. It is solid but also really comfortable. The leather pads are soft and are also quite stylish.

The HyperX Cloud costs about $80 in various online stores like Amazon. This is a great price point for this headset which is making it best-in-class. It is simply hard to find any other headset which is providing such good sound quality and is just as comfortable to use.

Pros:

  • Great sound

  • Solid and stylish build

  • Comfortable

  • Good price point

Cons:

  • None worth to mention

Final words:

The HyperX Cloud is a well designed headset which is perfect for all gamers so it is hard not to recommend it. Kingston is constantly improving their gaming gear and these are not only empty words as we are constantly seeing better products in our reviews. The products designed for gamers are the products that are helping professional gamers win also.

The HyperX Cloud is a nearly perfect product and I believe all gamers will be satisfied of the quality it provides. Without hesitation the Cloud receives FunkyKit’s Editor’s Choice Award.
