In conclusion, the AX-1200 is very user and budget friendly. There is a lot to love about this headset. You will definitely look the part while wearing the 1200. Perixx went with an all over black with red accent color scheme that just catches you eye right off the bat. There is however, some cons when buying a budget friendly headset. Over really long period of use ( like 6 hours), the 1200 can have a little bit of discomfort. Some of that discomfort comes because of how new they are. Newer headsets tend to pull back together tightly, which with some wear and tear the 1200 should loosen up a bit. Having cushioned ear cups helps with the discomfort tremendously.
The material used to cover the cushion on the ear cups can get a bit hot over time. Making up for going a little cheap with the design of the headset is the audio and microphone quality. You will love the way the 1200 sounds when playing games, music, or watching a movie. You will definitely want to adjust your PC’s equalizer, since this headset can get very loud. The bass is perfect and not overwhelming, while also hearing great highs, good mids, and amazing lows. I loved the in-game experience. All the sounds you will need to hear like foot steps, or explosions are very clear and crisp.
The best feature of the AX-1200 is being able to use the headset with your tablets, phones, or anything that has a 3.5mm jack. Using the microphone while on the phone was awesome and everyone thought I sounded better while using the 1200. Overall I had an enjoyable experience testing the AX-1200 and would recommend this headset over many other budget friendly ones.
