SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless Gaming Headset Review

A Closer Look

The revolutionary Arctis headband brings comfort to the next level. It starts with the Ski Goggle suspension band, which effortlessly wraps itself around heads of all shapes and sizes and evenly distributes the light weight of the headset. Our exclusive AirWeave fabric Ear Cushions use the most comfortable ear cushions ever used in a gaming headset. Inspired by the fabrics found in athletic clothing, the AirWeave Ear Cushions wick away moisture and heat so that you stay cool, comfy, and dry for hours of play.

Enter a virtual 3D environment with the most accurate placement of audio cues. The Dual-Source Audio Transmitter lets you switch between two audio sources without ever swapping cables. All you have to do is connect your speakers into the Arctis 7’s wireless receiver. When your headset is off, the sound will play out of your speakers. When you power the headset on, the sound will default back to the headset. Arctis 7 also comes with a mobile cable that allows you to listen to music and make calls on your mobile devices.

No more alt-tabbing, easily control your volume and mute directly on your headset everywhere you game. Every Arctis comes with a detachable, modular cable system, giving you optimized cables and connectors to match your every need from PC to XBox, Playstation, mobile and more. Sharing is caring. Your friends can connect to the share jack and join in on the action. On-Ear ChatMix Dial lets you balance and adjust the volume between your game and chat audio directly from your headset.

Now let us take a look and see how the SteelSeries Arctis 7 performs!

How is this headset ear cup? I have big ears and one of the major concerns is the ear cup size. I have been using a sennheiser pc350 which have big ear cups and can fit all over my ear. I recently acquired the hyper x cloud and i am not totally satisfied.

Headsets that feature “ear cups” are ones that cover the entire ear by definition. I don’t think there is minimum dimension to qualify the headset as “ear cup”. I can measure the headset ear cups if you would like to know if the Arctis headsets from SteelSeries would fit your ears.
