The X10 Pro SSD is rated at up to 2100MB/s. It highly depends on the USB controller, used data cable, and other factors affecting the optimal speed. We could pass the 2100MB/s read bandwidth on our test rig, but the write bandwidth was a bit below 2000MB/s. It’s still the best result we’ve seen on a portable SSD.

The X10 Pro is available at up to 4TB capacity. Regardless of capacity, it will perform the same and share all other features. Important is that the SSD is small, light, and well-protected, which confirms the IP55 resistance standard.

The SSD arrived with a 0-hour counter and was in perfect condition. CrystalDiskInfo shows that the SSD is brand new without SMART errors or used cells. The screenshot is already after a couple of tests.
Crucial provides Storage Executive software, which shows the same SMART data and gives us additional options, like the firmware update. It’s mentioned in each Crucial review, so it’s well-known, and I will skip it this time.

The idle temperature is around 30-32°C, which is much lower than that of the previously reviewed portable SSD. We reached a bit above 40°C during extended tests, so it’s the coolest running portable SSD we’ve reviewed so far. I can already share that the X9 Pro has slightly lower temperatures, but not much.

The maximum temperature after tests was 41°C, as reported by hwinfo64.

Since the X10 Pro is a new product, it arrived with the latest available firmware. There were no issues, so the update is not required.

On the next page, we will look at the SSD itself and the package contents.
