The S1 SSD is available in capacities up to 2TB, so not so high for today’s standards. Even though it’s more than enough for most users, many already search for 4TB options, so they may pick a competitive brand.
A three-year limited warranty covers the SSD. It’s quite long, but it has become a standard nowadays.

The SSD arrived in perfect condition with 0 hours and 0 GB written on the counter.
The S1 SSD wasn’t throttling during tests, and all tests passed without issues. A typical temperature (internal) is about 50-60°C. We won’t feel it touching the SSD. It’s maybe not cold, but we can put it into a pocket after extended work, and we won’t burn ourselves.
The software can’t recognize SSD components except for ASMedia ASM236x PCIe to USB3.2 bridge, which is capable of 20Gbps bandwidth. As we find out later, it works well and delivers the promised performance.
So far, so good. Now, let’s take a look at the product itself.
