Patriot Supersonic Rage XT 64GB Flash Drive Review

Drives Specs and Pictures

The package of the drive is nothing to write home about. Just your standard cardboard packaging with a little plastic bubble to cover and protect the drive itself. Over the packaging you get the standard marketing materials and information that is found on most flash drives. Nothing to really write home about or revolutionary for a flash drive packaging.

Looking at the specs on this drive it has the potential to be a Funkykit performance champ. There have been a few fast drives over the years but this drive has the specs on paper to put the rest of the drives we’ve tested to shame. It is actually in the SATA 1.5gb/s speeds territory which when you get down to it is quite impressive for a drive you can plug in and go.

One thing that I found to be a relief was the fact that Patriot does not include any sort of software on this flash drive at all. Gone are the days of plugging in a flash drive and having 50 different programs auto-install onto your computer. Unfortunately unlike some of their competition they do not even offer optional software on the Patriot website. Not that this is really a big deal.
