The 2TB version of US75 has a declared maximum bandwidth of up to 7000MB/s read and up to 6500MB/s write. We will see the maximum on motherboards with M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 sockets. The PS5 console is hardware-limited at a lower bandwidth, so as long as the US75 is fully compatible with the PS5, then the maximum bandwidth will be lower, around 6600MB/s
The US75 has a DRAM-less design and uses a popular Maxio controller. Since we reviewed many SSDs with the same controller, we already know what to expect – relatively high performance and low temperatures. The SSD uses a 3D TLC NAND, so its endurance is also typical for TLC SSDs – 1200 TBW for the 2TB version.

The SSD arrived with a 0-hour counter and was in perfect condition. CrystalDiskInfo shows that it is brand new without SMART errors or used cells.
The idle temperature is around 30°C, which is relatively low. The thermals were unsurprising since we reviewed SSDs with the same Maxio controller. The SSD barely passed 50°C in our tests, and all that without an additional heatsink.
On the next page, we will look at the SSD itself and the package contents.
