TEAMGROUP MP44Q 2TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD Review

Performance

As mentioned, the performance was tested on the Minisforum AI series mini PC, including the AMD Ryzen 7 255H processor and 128GB of Crucial DDR5-5600 SODIMM RAM. All tests were performed on Windows 11 Pro with the latest updates as of August 2025.

Let’s begin as usual with the ATTO Disk Benchmark.

As usual, the ATTO benchmark results are lower than expected, which is quite normal in this benchmark. We can still achieve read speeds of 6.62 GB/s and write speeds of 5.63 GB/s.

CrystalDiskMark shows us high sequential read and write bandwidth, significantly exceeding those specified by TEAMGROUP. The sequential read is up to 7,077 MB/s, while the write is up to 6,405 MB/s.
The random, low queue read (Q1T1) is relatively high for a DRAM-less QLC SSD, up to 82.72 MB/s. IOPS is also quite respectable.

The PCMark 10 results appear to be quite good. Even though we have seen better scores on QLC SSDs, these results are still above the average.

3DMark Storage benchmark results are about average for this type of SSD. Not the highest, but most gamers probably won’t notice a significant difference compared to high SSD series.

The Blackmagic benchmark indicates that everything is working fine. Again, it’s not the highest performance, but it’s still pretty good.

Ultimately, the AIDA64 Disk Benchmark results for random read and write operations are presented.

The results are pretty average for QLC-based SSDs. They’re not bad, but they could be higher, as we’ve seen higher results from QLC series SSDs in recent months.

Considering the test pattern, it doesn’t translate into the daily work of most users, so it’s not an issue. It’s still a good test to determine possible stability problems, and we haven’t seen any on the MP44Q SSD.

The MP44Q delivers high performance for typical daily tasks, but it’s not suitable for workstations or users who frequently work with large data files.
We experienced no issues with thermal throttling, a notable advantage of SSDs with Maxio controllers. All presented tests passed multiple times without problems, and there were no performance drops. Everything was perfectly stable.
