The 1TB version of the M200 SSD already offers a top speed of up to 2GB/s. The 250GB version has lower performance, but with the current SSD prices, I doubt it’s popular. The M200 is available in various capacity options, up to 8TB. It’s a lot for any SSD.
AIDA64 shares with us info that inside, we can find the latest Maxio controller, which has proven its amazing performance in desktop M.2 SSD. SSDs based on this design generate low heat and use low power, so it’s a perfect option for a portable SSD.

The M200 SSD arrived with a 0-hour counter in perfect condition. CrystalDiskInfo shows that the SSD is brand new without SMART errors or used cells. The firmware was also the latest one when we received the SSD, but it’s not really important as there are no issues.

The idle temperature is around 40°C, so we could say it’s not the lowest. On the other hand, the highest registered temperature is around 50°C (near the sensor only). We can’t really feel it touching the enclosure, and we wouldn’t know that if it was not the diagnostic software.

On the next page, we will look at the SSD itself and the package contents.
