All X2 MAX flash drive versions are rated for up to 1GB/s read and 900MB/s write speeds. Of course, this is sequential bandwidth, but USB flash drives are typically used for copying sequential data. The specified performance makes the X2 MAX one of the fastest USB flash drives on the market. It’s also small, so we can easily carry it with us everywhere we go.

Another advantage is support for USB-A and USB-C. This makes it compatible with all popular devices, such as laptops, desktops, tablets, and smartphones.

The X2 MAX arrived in perfect condition. CrystalDiskInfo shows no SMART errors or worn cells. We can also see that the X2 MAX supports all popular SSD technologies, such as TRIM, which ensures better performance when the flash drive is frequently in use.

One of the X2 MAX improvements is the operating temperature, which is significantly lower than that of the X1 MAX. The X2 MAX doesn’t exhibit any thermal throttling and isn’t too hot to the touch, unlike the X1 MAX, where we encountered this issue. The maximum internal temperature registered during tests was 66°C.
On the next page, we will examine the X2 MAX itself and its package contents.
