Today, we’re diving into the Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 1000W Gold – TT Premium Edition, a compact yet powerful PSU designed for high-performance builds in small form factor cases. This fully modular power supply is certified 80 PLUS Gold, ensuring high energy efficiency and reduced power consumption under load.
Engineered to meet Intel’s ATX 3.0 specifications, it supports up to 200% power excursion, delivers optimized performance at low loads, and adheres to the latest power timing standards for next-gen hardware compatibility.
Built with premium Japanese capacitors, the Toughpower SFX 1000W offers exceptional reliability, long lifespan, and stable power delivery. Its robust +12V single rail design provides up to 83.3A, delivering a total output of 1000W—more than enough for demanding gaming or workstation setups.
Cooling is handled by a 120mm fluid dynamic bearing fan, which ensures efficient airflow while keeping noise levels low. The Smart Zero Fan function intelligently adjusts fan speed based on load, staying silent during low-demand operation.
Included in the box are low-profile modular cables that simplify cable management, reduce clutter, and enhance airflow within tight chassis spaces. The PSU features a native PCIe 12V-2×6 connector, making it ready for NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, and also supports multiple 8-pin PCIe connectors for AMD graphics cards and earlier RTX models.
To ensure maximum reliability and protection for your components, the Thermaltake Toughpower SFX 1000W Gold – TT Premium Edition comes equipped with a full suite of industrial-grade safety features. These include Over Current Protection (OCP), Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), and Over Temperature Protection (OTP). These safeguards work together to maintain system stability and prevent damage during unexpected power fluctuations or thermal stress.
In addition to its robust protection features, this PSU is optimized for compatibility with all generations of Intel processors, helping to achieve consistent energy efficiency and dependable performance across a wide range of builds. Whether you’re running a modern gaming rig or a compact workstation, the Toughpower SFX 1000W is engineered to deliver clean, stable power. And with Thermaltake’s impressive 10-year warranty, you can invest with confidence, knowing your system is backed by long-term support and durability.
