Hyte Y70 Mid-Tower Chassis Review (Non-Touch)

Exterior

The Hyte Y70  is a dual chamber mid-tower ATX chassis that measures 470mm (h) x 320mm (w) x 470mm (d). It’s compatible with mini-ITX, micro-ATX, full-size ATX, and even E-ATX motherboards.

I love the full panoramic view, provided by the 3-piece tempered glass panels with seamless edges. All the panels of the chassis are completely tool-less and can be easily removed, including the top, the side and the front glass panel.

Interior

The ginormous interior allows you to install all your PC components with ease. It’s perfect for those to want a watercooled PC with a full custom loop.

You can easily fit a 360mm radiator at the top or on the side of the chassis, plus it has clearance of up to a massive 422mm for the GPU and 235mm for the power supply.

However, you can’t fit a 360 radiator on the bottom of the chassis, but there’s plenty of room to install 2 x140mm or 3 x 120mm cooling fans if needed.

The Hyte Y70 includes a luxury color-coded PCIE 4.0 x 16 riser cable which is a nice added bonus. The 4 slot vertical graphics design allows users to install the largest and most powerful of graphics cards into your PC with ease.

On the back of the chassis, you’ll find a 2 removeable HDD bracket for mounting 3.5″ hard drives. Moving along the back of the chassis, there’s space for 5-6 half-height PCIE cards that can site behind the vrtical graphics card.

On the other side of the chassis, is the dual chamber where you can install your PSU up to 235mm in length. You’ll find 3 velcro straps on the bottom of the chassis for cable management, and this will allow you to tidy up those messy looking cables.

Front Panel I/O

The front I/O ports include 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-C), 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1, audio jack, and a power-on switch, but no reset button.

The Hyte Y70 includes front panel cables to connect to the motherboard, these include 1 x USB 3.0 cable, USB Type-E, HD audio cable and a front panel connector.
