Hyte Y70 Mid-Tower Chassis Review (Non-Touch)

Installation

During our installation, we used n Asus Striz Z790 Gaming-E WiFi motherboard. Everything fitted nicely inside the chassis with plenty of space for connecting all the cables including the the 24-pin ATX power cables, USB, audio and front panel cables.

For cooling we used a Thermaltake TH360 V2 Ultra AIO cooler, which we mounted on the side of the chassis. No issues with installation and everthing fitted great.

We also mounted 3 x 120mm fans on the top and 2 x 140mm fans on the bottom for additional air flow and cooling.

The Hyte Y70 has a GPU clearance of up to 422mm, which was more than plenty for our Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER which measured 334mm in length. It fitted nicely with loads of room to spare.

Inside the dual chamber, we mounted a Cougar GEX X2 1000W PSU. Again, there’s loads of room for cable management, and thanks to the included velcro straps it really helped in tidying all those messy looking cables.

The Finished Item

And here’s our completed PC build. Damn it looks amazing, doesn’t it? 😀

The 3-piece panaoramic glass panels really make this PC build look stunning. Both the side and front glass panels are removeable, however the center glass panel is fixed. Still, I have no complaints as long as I’m able to acces the PC components with ease if I ever needed to upgrade at a later date.

I love the tool-less design of the whole chassis. No more loose screws or no messing around with screw drivers. Just pop-out the panels with a simple tug and lock them back in place with gentle push.

We mounted a total of 8 cooling fans. 3  x 120mm fans on the top, 2 x 140mm fans on the bottom and 3 x 120mm for the radiator. I think this is just the right amount of cooling fans to make the PC build look amazing. Less than 8 fans will make the system look incomplete, while anything more than it 8 fans is a little over the top.

All-in-all, I’ve very happy with the PC build using the Hyte Y70 (non-touch) chassis. My system looks great with its 3-piece panoramic glass, and has plenty of space for future expansion or upgrade.
