Raidmax Narwhal 920 Chassis Review

Installation

Raidmax’s Narwhal 920 is huge for a mid-tower which made for an easy install. The DVD drive slides right in and is easy to match up using the tool free clamps. The HDD drive rails and carriages snap right into place around the 3.5 Hard Drive. Also holding the HDD in place, is a locking mechanism that comes with the carriages. As stated earlier, the carriage is no longer tool free if you are wanting to install a 2.5 SSD.

Much like the Viper GX II, Raidmax does not use any rubber grommets with their cut-outs, but they are fairly big and set in the right places. The cut-outs, while also having the room behind the motherboard, allowed for easy cable maneuvering. I did not use half of the space the Narwhal 920 allows with the Install I went with. So you will notice in the pictures I posted, that the 920 has the room and capabilities for many different set ups.

Now lets get on with it and see what the verdict is!
