Corsair Hydro Series H115i Pro RGB 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Box and Packaging

The box and packaging looks and feels pretty “grand”. It definitely makes me want to mount it right away!

In side the box you’ll find the usual instruction manuals, a USB cable, mounting screws, 2 x Corsair 140mm Magnetic Levitation fans, mounting brackets for Intel LGA 1151 and 2011/2066, as well as AMD AM2/3/4 socket.

A Closer Look

A closer look at the waterblock reveals several cables, which includes 1 for the pump rpm readout, 2 for the fans and 1 cable which ends with a SATA power connector for powering up the unit.

Underneath the unit you’ll find a nice solid copper base with a layer of thermal paste. The waterblock has the Intel mount already installed, but this can be easily removed and replaced with an AMD mount instead.

Installation

Like I said before, installation was super easy. I don’t encounter any issues whatsoever.

Be aware where you position the waterblock. I suggest positioning the unit so that the sleeved tubing is away from the DDR4 DIMM slots.

I was even able to mount the Corsair H115i Pro RGB Liquid CPU cooler on our tiny motherboard with no issues using the ASRock Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac. SWEET!
