Noctua NH-U12A CPU Cooler Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Noctua used us to amazing products, so our expectations are always high. Once again we could test a cooler which is exceptional. The NH-U12A is simply great. We are receiving a quite small cooler which fits into most typical ATX cases. It performs as well as AIO liquid coolers and is quiet during everyday work. There is not much more we could ask from a CPU cooler.

Once again Noctua delivered a top quality product which is just a masterpiece on a CPU cooler market. There is only one thing which may cause that this cooler won’t be as popular as it could be.

Now maybe a word of explanation as at first I was surprised, but it seems logical. Online stores like Amazon are selling Noctua NH-U12A CPU cooler for $99.90. It seems expensive, but we have to remember what we are receiving. Only two NF-A12x25 fans which are the best fans on the market cost $29.90 each. There are mounting elements, thermal grease, and a great cooler. Together with a six-year warranty it for sure wouldn’t be cheap. Well, I’m not happy it cost so much but can understand it. After all, we are receiving top performing cooler which matches AIO liquid coolers, and these coolers cost at least $100.

Pros:

  • High performance
  • High quality
  • The best air cooling on the market
  • Quiet even at max fan speed
  • Compatible with tall memory kits

Cons:

  • High price

Final words:

Noctua NH-U12A is one of the best coolers we had a chance to test. It’s also the best air cooler. Besides high performance, it offers quiet work and full compatibility with modern motherboards, tall memory modules or standard ATX PC cases. A six-year warranty covers the NH-U12A. Since the manufacturer trusts it will work so long without issues, then we are sure of the high-quality of the product.

Noctua NH-U12A is simply amazing, so it’s not a surprise it receives FunkyKit’s Editor’s Choice Award!
