Conclusion and Verdict
Even though I was expecting better performance, then the Kotetsu Mark II still has advantages which make it a cooler worth recommendation. Probably the most important is how quiet it works. We can barely hear the CPU fan during work, even at its full speed. The cooler is not so big and designed, so it won’t cause any installation or compatibility issues. There shouldn’t be a problem to use it in a smaller PC case or with tall memory modules.
RGB lighting works and looks great. Because of standard RGB connector, it works on most popular motherboards. All these aesthetic elements are clearly showing it’s a product for gamers. Some may like it, some not but for me, it looks much better than the standard Kotetsu cooler.
There is one more advantage, which is really important for many users. I mean the price. Amazon is selling the Kotetsu Mk II TUF CPU cooler for $39.99. It’s an excellent price for what we receive as long as we have lower TDP processors on our mind. AMD Ryzen or Intel Core i3 and i5 processors would be perfect. Intel 9th generation i7 and i9 are a bit too much.
- RGB illumination
- Quiet even at max fan speed
- Easy installation and full compatibility with tall memory kits
- Average performance
As long as you are thinking about less expensive CPU series for gaming, then the Kotetsu Mark II TUF Gaming Alliance cooler seems perfect and is worth our recommendation. It’s nearly silent, inexpensive and looks great so it should be an interesting option for less demanding gamers.
There are not many coolers on our market which are offering quiet work and RGB illumination at a low price, so it’s not a surprise that Scythe Kotetsu Mark II TUF Gaming Alliance cooler receives our Value Award!
You can buy the Scythe Kotetsu Mark II TUF Gaming Alliance cooler for $39.99 from Amazon.
