Like the previously reviewed ADATA XPG Lancer, the 7200MT/s version gives us optimal performance and high stability at the XMP and EXPO settings. The memory kit is equipped with Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles, which is quite unusual at such a high frequency, but it works well on all motherboards that we have tested. It’s a clear advantage for all AMD users as no other brand offers an EXPO profile at DDR5-7200.
Like most gaming RAM series nowadays, the Lancer also gives us RGB illumination. Some users may like it, some not, but the modules look great even if we turn off the backlight. If we decide to use it, we will notice that ADATA RAM is fully compatible with every popular motherboard brand.
The latest refresh also adds white heatsinks to the list, so it’s also possible to get if black heatsinks don’t match the PC. As you can see on the attached test rig photos, black heatsinks with RGB look great, even on the white ASUS APEX motherboard.
The tested memory kit has a high overclocking potential, which can be limited mainly by our motherboard. If many motherboards support 7200MT/s, then anything higher can be a problem. DDR5-8400 or higher will still be fully supported by ADATA memory if our motherboard can handle it.
The 32GB DDR5-7200 kit costs about $169 in the Amazon store, but you can probably find it even cheaper in other online stores. Since prices are still dropping, I recommend checking various stores, as fresh deliveries may have reduced costs.
