Kingston Fury Impact 64GB DDR5-5600 SODIMM Memory Kit Review

Overclocking

Disclaimer: Overclocking is never guaranteed so that the results may vary depending on certain conditions and various hardware configurations. I am not recommending overclocking if you do not know what you are doing. High voltages may damage hardware, and the warranty will not cover it.

Kingston FURY Renegade 2x32GB DDR5-5600 memory kit uses Hynix A-die IC, so there is nothing better we can find in DDR5 memory kits nowadays. It guarantees high frequencies and still acceptable voltages while overclocking.

The used motherboard had some problems with voltage adjustment on our memory kit. Even though the software reported unlocked voltages up to 1.35V+, it did nothing; the actual voltage was still at about 1.10V. We could still push our memory kit to a nice 6000MT/s and even tighter timings of CL36-38-38. Sub-timings are also a bit tighter. We could gain around 6GB/s higher bandwidth and 5ns lower latency.

The settings on the above screenshot were fully stable in our our tests and additional extented tests which are not presented in this review.

As I mentioned before, we won’t be able to overclock SODIMM on most motherboards and laptops. However, our results prove Kingston memory has a high overclocking potential, even at standard voltages.
It’s hard not to be satisfied since Kingston FURY Impact delivers all the best in one product, and further overclocking or tuning isn’t required. It’s clearly the fastest SODIMM DDR5 on our market.
