Lexar THOR OC DDR5-6000 32GB Memory Kit Review

Today, we’ll be taking a look at the Lexar Thor OC DDR5-6000 32GB memory kit. These memory modules are rated to run at DDR5-6000 speeds with a low CAS latency of 32-38-38 operating on a voltage of 1.3 volts.

They’re certified for both XMP 3.0  and EXPO standards and will work on all motherboards that support both these profiles. They also use memory ICs from SK Hynix which are known to overclock really well.

These memory modules do not come with any RGB lighting, but it does comes with a unique black heatsink with gold trimmings, and a triquetra design as seen on Thor’s hammer.

It comes with built-in on-die ECC, for real-time data error correction, which helps increase stability and reliability. The built-in Power Management IC allows better power control and power delivery while operating at a low voltage of 1.3V

If you want fast DDR5 ram without any RGB, then take a look at the Lexar Thor DDR5-6000 32GB memory kits.

To get the best benefits when running XMP, remember to install these memory modules on DIMM slot A2 and B2 on your motherboard. And for those that don’t know, DDR5 gives you two 32-bit wide (40-bit wide, with ECC) channels per stick, which means that you get a quad-channel configuration when running two DIMMs (or 4 DIMMs).

With a default speed of DDR5-6000 using XMP profiles 3.0, I’m expecting good performance from these memory kits.

We’ll be testing the Lexar THOR DDR5-6000 32GB memory modules on our test rig, which includes an Gigabyte Z790 motherboard, along with an Intel Core i7-14700K processor and a Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card.

OK, let’s dive straight in and start by taking a look at the specifications and features on our next page. You can buy the Lexar THOR OC DDR5-6000 32GB kit for around USD $89.99 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3Q4Nnmf
