Sennheiser AVX-ME2 Set Review – Wireless Clip-On Lavalier Microphone

Last year, we tested the Sennheiser MKE 2 Digital Lapel Microhpone (for iPhone), it was a great product that offer excellent studio quality audio recording. This time round, we wanted a little more in terms of mobility … I mean wireless 😉

Thanks to Sennheiser … please say hello to the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 Set. It’s a wireless clip-on lavalier microphone (transmitter and receiver set), that offers studio quality audio recording for users who require mobility and wireless functionality. It comes with a plug-on receiver that can be used out-of-the-box,  with any camcorders as well as DSLR cameras.

As we will be attending the Computex 2017 event this year, the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 Set is the perfect audio recording setup we need, for interviews and hands-on product showcasing. The lavalier microphone would be attached to my shirt, while the light-weight transmitter is securely clamped onto my belt. To complete the set-up, the receiver would be mounted on the DSLR camera or camcorder’s hot shoe, with the cable connected to the mic-in of the camera. What’s more, we’ve even hooked it up to an iPhone for good measure!

What I like about the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 Set, is that it comes with features such as auto frequency management, AES 256 encryption, XLR audio input, 15hr transmitter use, and accessories included for DSLR use (3.5 mm mini jack). And of course, you can’t dismiss the excellent studio quality audio that all Sennhesier recording products offer.

And lastly but not least, the Sennheiser AVX-ME2’s Dynamic Range guarantees perfectly leveled sound – no matter whether it’s very quiet or extremely loud. The AVX matches perfectly to the camera’s input sensitivity. Without having to adjust the audio level on the microphone by hand.

Let’s take a closer look at the overview and specifications on our next page. Buy the Sennheiser AVX-ME2 Set from Amazon –
