Kingston DataTraveler Elite G2 64GB USB 3.1 Flash Drive Review

Conclusion and Verdict

Even though I know that Kingston always cares about high quality and high performance then I wouldn’t think that performance will be so high. Kingston declared 180MB/s read and 70MB/s write bandwidth while in our tests we could see over 270MB/s read and 105MB/s write! That’s a huge difference which you get without additional cost.

I also like the design of the flash drive which feels durable and looks great. I have mixed feelings regarding protective cap but it’s not really an issue.

Kingston DataTraveler Elite G2 is available on Amazon and many other online stores. 64GB version of this flash drive costs about $45 what isn’t cheap but about as much as competitive products cost. The DTE G2 offers higher performance than many other flash drives in this price point so I guess that price is not that bad.

  • High performance
  • Performance much higher than declared
  • Durable
  • Reasonable price considering high performance
  • 5 year warranty and free technical support

  • Nothing worth to mention

Final words:

Kingston DataTraveler Elite G2 64GB seems like a perfect USB flash drive. It’s fast, durable and covered by 5 year warranty. What else you may need ?

I can recommend Kingston DataTraveler Elite G2 64GB without any hesitation as it’s one of the best USB flash drives we had a chance to test!
