Netac NV7000-t 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD Review

Conclusion

The NV7000-t is our second Netac product, and it may not be as successful as the previously reviewed ZX20 portable SSD, but it is also worth a recommendation if we gather up all the advantages.

The NV7000-t is one of the fastest SSDs we’ve tested. However, without additional cooling, we may expect thermal throttling during extended work. Sensor readings are not correct, so we only assume that the problem is in the firmware. The same issues are with many other SSDs, so many users won’t see it as a problem. Once we use the motherboard’s heatsink or have improved airflow in the PC case, then we won’t see it.

The drive uses a standard size M.2 2280, so it fits every modern computer, which is another advantage. It doesn’t use additional, tall heatsinks, so we can install it in every computer with a standard M.2 socket, including laptops.

The Netac NV7000-t 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD costs around $66.99 in the Amazon online store. It’s one of the cheapest SSDs right now, even though it can compete with the fastest M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD. It surely helps in sales.

Netac also gives a 5-year warranty for the NV7000-t SSD, which confirms that the brand is sure of the high quality of its product. Most competitive SSDs have a 2 or 3-year warranty.

Final words:

If there weren’t little issues with throttling, we could say that the NV7000-t is a pretty decent SSD. It’s fast, compatible with various PCs and PS5 consoles, runs cool, and uses low power consumption. Additionally, it’s one of the cheapest SSD series on the market, so it’s a very interesting option for all kinds of users, not only gamers.

The Netac NV7000-t 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD receives the Funky Kit Editor’s Recommended Award!
