Hello everyone, this time I will give you a simple test of the small home server F2-210 NAS Drive from the TERRA MASTER brand. These small servers have been available for many years. It allows you to store, backup and share your pictures, videos and files on your own network. Not only that, it also has cloud synchronization, remote access, hardware encryption, TNAS Mobile APP and 4K HD video H.264 / H.265 (up to 30fps) transcoding and support for Plex and Emby media servers. It is equipped with an ARM v8 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of memory, and a high read and write speed of 124MB per second.
I used to fantasize that if one day I had my own company, I wouldn’t really need to use an enterprise-level company server. In fact I think a small server will do just fine. A large file server, would be too expensive to operate, and the installation will probably be quite complicated. So this idea was shelved… until now. I finally bought a small server of my own! Nowadays, small servers are becoming more and more popular, and their prices are becoming more and more affordable. In the past, you’ll probably need thousands of dollars to purchase a decent server with limited choice. But now, there are many choices available on the market, and costing only a few hundred dollars.
Why do we need to use a NAS? It can securely protect your information. Many times we use external hard disks to back up your data, but you have thought that, if one day your hard disk is suddenly damaged. All your data in the hard disk will be lost, and then you might have to spend a huge amount to repair/recover the data in computer shop. And even if the repair is successful, there is no guarantee that all your data can be restored.
With a NAS, you can use mirror mode “RAID 1” to securely protect your data, but the downside is that you need to buy two hard disks with the same capacity to achieve this function. It will back up all your data to two hard disks. When one of your hard disks is damaged, the other hard disk has a backup. The NAS has a comprehensive data organization function to fully restore the data. The information or data on many user’s computers can be quite messy. Sometimes when you want a specific file, you will search for it up and down, and it takes a long time to find or find it. The NAS will have a function for you to integrate the files you specify. When you find it, you can just find it by pressing the designated location.
NAS allows you to access your data anytime, anywhere. I believe that everyone will not often take a computer to go out, but at least everyone will take one or more mobile phones to go out. When you save data to your NAS, you can use the NAS cloud services and the mobile APP provided Or the designated domain can access the data you want, and you can also back up your mobile phone’s data to your NAS cloud at any time on the street, which is very convenient.
