Streacom DA2 V2 (Black) ITX Chassis Review

Product Photos – Package

We’ve received the DA2 V2 chassis but also additional accessories, which are available separately. We could stop at the chassis itself, but since there are various installation options, why not show some more.

The package is the first thing which suggests the quality of the product. Streacom wasn’t saving on the package, so the chassis is protected by two boxes. The external box is brownish with a cut-out Streacom logo and a window for a product model and number label. The internal one is black with white Streacom logos on both sides.

Additional accessories come in more standard, brownish boxes, which also look good. Every product is well-protected. Besides thick foams, there are also higher quality bags for various parts.

Each product has only a product number and model on the package while more detailed description we can find in user’s manuals. Every product has well-explained installation. It may not look straightforward at first sight, but once we check the manual, it all becomes simple. The same story is about every product in our reviewer’s bundle.

DA2 VGPU KIT is a mounting kit that lets to install a graphics card vertically. It includes a back panel, a set of screws, and a PCIe x16 3.0 riser. The riser could already be upgraded to PCIe 4.0 as there are well-known issues with some new graphics cards and depend on the card; we may expect it to run at PCIe 3.0 speed or, in the worst case, won’t work at all. Because of the DA2 V2 design, there is no problem with replacing only the riser. Various sources, including our tests, confirm that graphics cards perform about the same in PCIe 4.0 as in PCIe 3.0 mode. In the worst case, the performance loss is around 1%, so it’s impossible to see while gaming.

DA2 TG KIT is a set of two tempered glass panels. The left panel has a transparent tempered glass, while the right one has a whole black tempered glass. The black panel fits the whole design while covers everything that wouldn’t look good on the right side of the case, like unused PSU cables, RGB/ARGB extension cables, power controllers, or anything else.
