Monster Hunder Wilds Benchmark (4K, Ultra Settings)
The Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark tool simulates various gameplay scenes and provides a score and average FPS, giving users an idea of how the game might run on their hardware. The benchmark runs through a series of gameplay and cutscene sequences to measure frame rates and identify potential bottlenecks (CPU or GPU).
Verdict and Conclusion
These days, it’s hard to figure out how much an affordable graphics card would cost. Back in the day (5-6 years ago), a GPU costing $200 or less would be considered affordable. It’s now 2025, and with inflation on the up, as well as other factors contributing to the costs, the word “affordable” no means $400 or less!
So when AMD announced the Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex 2025, with a MSRP of only USD $299 for the 8GB version and $349 for the 16GB version … I was amazed and super excited. Finally, an affordable graphics card for gaming is possible.
So where does the Radeon RX 9060 XT sit in terms of performance? Well from our tests, we can say it performs around the same level as a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti (8GB – $399 MSRP), and falls just behind the RTX 5060 Ti (16GB – $429 MSRP). The key difference is the price. The Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB version costs much less than both of the GeForce models mentioned!
During our tests, we used our usual test rig, which is comprised of an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and Gigabyte B860 AORUS Elite ICE motherboard, along with 48GB of DDR5-8000 ram. With all settings on AUTO, we got decent scores in most of our benchmarks, including a score of 3,871 for BaseMark Relic of Life, an AMD FSR 2 score of 84.36 fps and a Passmark 11 GPU score of 22,433.
For 3DMark Port Royal, Timespy and Firestrike, it produced a score of 9,782, 16,951 and 33,977 respectively. Next, for Speedway and Nomad Steel, it produce a decent score of 3,019 and 3,798 respectively.
For Unigine’s Valley benchmark, we got a respectable score of of 4,439 and a Final Fantasy benchmark score of 12,813. And finally, for Superposition 1080p extreme and optimized 4K, we got decent scores of 8,085 and 10,246 respectively.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, we got a decent score of 76.72 fps. For our Cyberpunk 2077 tests, with Ray Tracing: Overdrive option with RTX on and FSR enabled, it produced a score of 20.99 fps at 4K.
With FSR enabled but RT off, it produced an average score of 135.86 fps @1440p and 168.76 fps @1080p.
Full load temperatures of GPU and hot spot reached a high of 50 degrees and 70 degrees Celsius, respectively. It’s much lower than I expected. I guess the lower TBP of only 160W along with the triple fan cooling design, really helps in reducing the load temperatures.
The card comes with the integrated ARGB LEDs, allowing you to create your own unique colorful light effects. This can also be turned on and off via the LED on/off switch. It can also be synchronized with your ASRock motherboards that support Polychrome SYNC. And if you want more RGB, then you’re in luck. Near the center of the card, you’ll find an ARGB header which you can connect extra ARGB strips/devices
Monitor output includes 2 x DisplayPorts v2.1a and 1 x HDMI 2.1b port, which is enough for most gamers. Don’t forget to enable FreeSync on the Adrenalin Software if you own a FreeSync monitor, otherwise you won’t be getting all the benefits of the graphics card or monitor.
Final Thoughts
The ASRock Radeon RX 9060 XT Steel Legend 16Gb OC graphics card is ideal for those who’s after a GPU that offers great aesthetics and decent performance for 1080p gaming, furthermore it’s capable of 1440p gaming at a push. If you prioritize raw performance and higher VRAM, then this card is worth considering. With a MSRP of only USD $389 (16GB version), it’s cheaper than the Geforce RTX 4060 Ti and the RTX 5060 Ti, while offering similar performance.
