Project WhiteOut – Full Build Log and Video

Chassis Preparation

I was quite surprised how much space I had inside the chassis. There’s plenty of room to really dig your hands in, especially when connecting all those power cables. It’s definitely one of the nicest chassis I’ve worked with.

Motherboard Installation

The Gigabyte Z790 AORUS PRO X motherboard was nice and smooth. It fitted nicely inside the NZXT H6 Flow chassis. There’s plenty of room inside the chassis, so no complaints here.

PSU Installation

Since the NZXT H6 Flow is a dual chamber chassis, the PSU is out of sight as it’s installed behind the motherboard tray/plate. I really like this configuration.

The velcro traps really helped with my cable management. Now I can tidy up those messy looking cables with ease. During our installation, we used a white 24-pin ATX power extension cable for the motherboard and a white 12VHPWR PCIE5.0/ATX3.0 extension cable for the graphics card as well. This will help reduce the amount of black cables used.

AIO Installation

The Intel Core i9-14700K is cooled by Thermaltake’s TH360 V2 Ultra ARGB Sync AIO cooler. Everything fitted nicley with no issues whatsoever.

Since we used the Thermaltake SWAFAN EX 12 ARGB Sync cooling fans, I did find that there wasn’t a lot of room for attaching the magnetic connectors to the header.

Although you can’t physically rotate the LCD displaty on the CPU waterblock, you can rotate the display via the TT RGB Sync software which you can download from their website.

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Preparation

We decided to paint our Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti graphics card a gorgeous white colour. First of all, we needed to carefully disassemble the fan shroud and backplate. Next we at least 2 coats of primer, then another 2 or 3 coats of the white colour.

Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Installation

We used the EZDIY-FAB Multi-Angle Vertical GPU Mount for the graphics card. Installation was a breeze. It really makes our graphics card stand out. Sadly, once the vertical GPU mount is installed, you won’t be able to install the optional 2 x 140mm fans on the bottom of the case.

Aditionally, we used a white 12VHPWR PCIE5.0/ATX3.0 extension cable for the graphics card. It just makes the whole thing look a lot better. The included 12VHPWR cable that comes with the power supply looks so thick and fugly!
