Acer Predator Talos 32GB DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory Kit Review

Package and its Contents

Predator Talos memory arrived in a retail package which is a well-described flat box. The exterior tells us about all the main features and specifications. The design already suggests that we have a premium product in our hands.

Inside of each box, we will find two 16GB memory modules rated at DDR4-3200 CL16-20-20 1.35V. Modules are dual-rank and are based on Samsung D-die, mentioned on the previous page of this review.

For sure, the design of the Predator Talos is unique. We won’t find any other RAM looking similar. Acer calls it the Mechanized Warrior, which for sure fits the multi-layer heatsink design as modules are well protected.

The Predator Talos doesn’t require RGB illumination to look great. As you can see in the photos, it looks even better when installed on the motherboard. The black and white colors may also fit various builds, so they should be an interesting choice for modders.

Photos were taken on the ASUS Crosshair VIII Impact motherboard while the RAM was tested on AMD and Intel platforms without any compatibility issues. In the end, performance tests were performed on the Strix B550-I Gaming motherboard.

On the next page of this review, we will take a closer look at the performance.
