Today we have the Patriot Viper 4 Blackout Series DDR4 64GB. Who needs more RAM? I will never say no too more RAM. The more the better. When I look for new RAM I want to know the MHz and CAS. You want to be able to find the highest compatible MHz with your motherboard and then narrow that list down to the lowest CAS you can find. Now once you get over 16GB of RAM you game performance may not see a justifiable performance boost, unless the game is CPU heavy. But if you are like me and want to have a game running along with other programs you will definitely appreciate the extra RAM.
For the casual gamer all the stats may not concern you but just remember highest MHz and lowest CAS and you are good to go. Now another thing to keep in mind is the RAM RGB. Who doesn’t like flashy RAM? I absolutely love it but if you crunch numbers having any RGB on RAM, M.2 or other devices like that you could actually hinder your performance. Now this may not be enough for it to matter but if you are looking for the max, RGB isn’t the way to go. Non the less RGB can take a little away from the max potential. That’s where this set of Patriot Viper RAM comes in. We have a pure aluminum heatsink and no lights. The heat spreader has a nice logo and different textures to give the heatsink some style. You will not have any clearance issues with this RAM because they a shorter than a lot I have seen in the past. I will be testing the RAM on a Z370 chipset and B550 in the near future! So, stay tunes if you are interested in this RAM finding its way on that chipset.
