Most of us are familiar with Thermaltake. And today we are showing you guys the Toughram White. This is 16GB of 4000MHz goodness. As for what makes great Ram, we want the Highest MHz paired with the tightest timings. For 4000MHz at1.35v the tightest timings I can find searching around is 17-17-17-37. U want tighter timings than that and you are going to be at 1.5v. Now you can overclock your RAM and probably get there. But the funny thing about RAM compared to overclocking a CPU or video card is that once you push your RAM to far there is usually no coming back from it. Like a video card if it artifacts I know I have pushed it to far. For A CPU they usually thermal throttle before any real damage is done. RAM is more likely just to go without warning. So be careful if you intend overclocking your RAM. The timings on the Toughram are respectable at 19-23-23-42. While it may not be the best, this RAM is a lot cheaper than the tighter timed RAM.
The heatsinks are massive on this RAM so I expect the cooling to be great. How will I know that? Because we have temp sensor with this RAM! I love that this feature is on this RAM.
