DeepCool PX1300P 12VHPWR 80+ Platinum PSU Review

Conclusion

Each new DeepCool PSU that I’m reviewing seems only better. The PX1300P is definitely an amazing PSU. The brand focuses on bringing something different and showing its uniqueness. It’s an excellent step to deliver high-end and fresh-looking products. A simple grill design makes a huge difference. It’s only a shame that it will be hidden in most PC cases.
The PX1300P performs excellently, looks great, is fully modular, and includes all the essential protection technologies.

The only thing that may cool the enthusiasm is its price. As with all high-wattage PSUs, the PX1300P is also expensive. The 1300W unit costs around $300, so it’s still cheaper than some competitive products, but way too much for a typical gamer. On the other hand, for most gamers, I recommend 750-850W PSUs, which are more than enough, and DeepCool’s Gold 80+ series proved that it is an ideal option for high-end PCs.

An additional advantage is a 12-year warranty. It’s very long for a PSU, proving that the manufacturer is not afraid of the quality of its products. No one would like to generate additional costs. With such an extended warranty, it’s a good investment, even for $300. However, we don’t know how standards will change in the upcoming years, and we may need a PSU replacement earlier, not because it may fail, but because our next PC upgrade may need a new PSU standard.

Final words:

The DeepCool PX1300P power supply is better than we expected, and should satisfy any user’s power demanding needs. Its huge power, silent operation, and complete protection make it a great option. I recommend it especially for power users, computer enthusiasts, and professionals who need high wattage and perfect voltages under high load.
