ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 2TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD Review

Conclusion

The S70 Blade SSD was released a while ago, and it seems like it has held up pretty well, even though there are many new SSD on the market. It’s one of the fastest PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD we tested, and it’s also confirmed to work well with PS5 consoles.

ADATA gives us everything we may need with the SSD. Whatever isn’t in the box, we can download it from the ADATA website.

The thin heatsink is a nice addition, but it may not be enough for an extended high load. However, the S70 Blade is designed for gaming, and for that should be perfect, without any performance issues.

The ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 2TB NVMe SSD costs around $109.99 in the Amazon online store. It’s not the cheapest for 2TB, but it also isn’t expensive. I can say it’s a reasonable price looking at competitive options.

ADATA gives a 5-year warranty for the S70 series SSD, which confirms that the brand is sure of the high quality of its product.

Final words:

The Adata XPG S70 Blade is a fast SSD and it’s clearly designed for gaming. It’s fully compatible with various computers, even thin laptops and PS5 consoles. If not for the occasional thermal throttling, we could say it’s a perfect SSD. It’s still one of the most interesting options on the current market, especially at a lowered price.
