We visited Gigabyte at the CTBC building (near Nangang exhibition center) where they hosted a press launch event. During the event, they announced their new AI workstations and their AI TOP series of products which are designed for AI applications.
They also showcased a range of new motherboards and gaming monitors, as well as the AORUS Project Stealth.
Gigabyte AORUS Stealth
One of the highlights of the Gigabyte launch event is their B650E AORUS Stealth. It’s a motherboard with all the visible connectors located and positioned on the reverse-side of the board. It’s perfect for anyone who wants a clean looking PC build without any visible cables. Although Gigabyte was one the first to come up with such an idea, it’s only now they’ve decided to showcased their AORUS Project Stealth.
I have to say … this motherboard looks SO sexy!
Motherboards
There were some new X870E motherboards on display, supporting AMD’s soon to be released Ryzen 9000 series of processors. Also shown were a series of new Itnel-based motherboards which will support Intel’s new and upcoming Arrow Lake processors this fall.
I just had to take the photo op with me holding the limited editon Gigabyte AROUS Extreme X ICE motherboard (valued approximately USD $2,500) … and of course a photo with my friend Howard from Gigabyte US.
AI Laptops
AI is the main focus for this year’s Computex 2024 … so of course we’ll see not just AI PCs and workstations, but also AI laptops. Gigabyte showcased a few AI laptops demoing their capabilities.
AI Workstation
Gigabyte showed off their new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER AI TOP 16GB graphics card designed specifically for AI workstations. It’s super slim and only uses 2 PCIE slot space. For cooling, it features a single blower design, and a PCIE power connector located at the end of the card, which allows for easier cable management.
Their new workstations can be configured with AMD Radeon PRO W7900 cards or GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER AI TOP cards. The whole setup is pretty expensive!
Monitors
Showcased at Computex 2024, is Gigabyte’s AORUS CO49DQ 49-inch QD-LED Gaming Monitor with an impressive GTG response time of only 0.03ms. It supports HDMI 2.1, a refresh rate of 144Hz and contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1
Gigabyte also demoed their daisy-chain capability of their monitors and well as their new M32U Arm Edition Gaming Monitor.
