The Finish Item

I’ve built many PC projects/builds over the years, using spare parts which I’ve obtained after completing a review. And it seems odd having to build a PC with parts from 6-8 different brands. It just doesn’t go that well sometimes …

So, when Gigabyte asked us to build a PC project using their motherboard, graphics card, AIO cooler and power supply … I was extremely ecstatic! It will be mainly a GIGABYTE sponsored PC Build, something that I’ve always wanted to do. And when the parts arrived, I could help myself but to review each and every one of them individually. You can check out the reviews here.

Thanks to our friends at Hyte, they were able to sponsor us with their Hyte Y70 (Non-Touch) dual chamber mid-tower chassis for our PC build. This chassis is fantastic and looks stunning with its panoramic views. The chassis is pretty big but looks fairly compact, yet the interior is ginormous, allowing us to install a massive 360 AIO cooler, 3 x 140mm fans, 3 x 120mm fans, a GeForce RTX 4070 Ti measuring 334mm in length.

As far as installation goes, building the Project AORUS ICE was one of the most pleasurable experiences I’ve had in quite a while. I did not encounter any issues whatsoever.

Interestingly, amidst our PC build, we were contacted by Corsair asking whether we were interested in re-establishing our partnership which got lost over the years. I didn’t hesitate and jumped on this amazing opportunity. After hearing about our PC build, they kindly sponsored their Dominator Titanium First Edition DDR5-7200 32GB Memory Kit and their MP700 2TB PCIe Gen 5×4 NVMe M.2 SSD, both of which we had the oppounity to review at the same time.

So what if I need to upgrade inthe future? Well, the Project AORUS ICE has plenty of options to upgrade if needed for the future. I could easily add more DDR5 ram if I wanted to, as I’m only using 2 DIMM slots, and there’s extra M.2 slots for 4  more NVMe SSDs.

I’m super happy with how the PC build turned out. It’s more than I hoped for. I will now swap my old PC with the Project AORUIS ICE, and use this as my main workstation for my work.

We hope you enjoyed our Project AORUS ICE  … and we thank you for joining us in our journey from start to finish. And of course … a BIG thank you to our main sponsors Gigabyte, as well as Corsair, Hyte and Thermaltake. See you all in our next PC project build in Q3/Q4 of 2024!
